the fast-forward (and rewind) function on my vcd player is screwed up. firstly, it isn't even apparent on the controls, all they have is a search button. i only recently found out, by accident, that if you press and hold the buttons to skip forward and backward, it fast-forwards/rewinds x2. repeat, x4. again, x8. once more and it's back to x2. would it kill them to have normal ff/rw buttons, separate from the one to skip sections? ><
bah i suppose i should be thankful that i found it at all. or that it at least has such a function, although for it not to is just unthinkable. (the only thing worse would be a missing pause/resume function, because play is definitely a given. at least, i hope.) or else
everytime i watch i'd have to go off and do other stuff while the intro song and all the extra things play, and would never be able to rewind a bit if i missed something. but even now it's still really seriously inconvenient.
mostly because everytime you try to ff/rw, it randomly freezes here and there. repeatedly. for a long time. so either you can wait and have it suddenly skip to some part way far off then you try again, or you can just press play and end up repeating the cycle over once more. then if you accidentally release the button too soon, you skip to another section and then you have to start all over again, and it's even worse if you were in the middle of the show trying to rewind a few seconds.
whenever it works properly, without freezing, you're just so relieved that you didn't have to go through the hassle this time. but you know, there shouldn't be any chance of such trouble happening in the first place. pfft. what happened to user-friendly technology?
in other news, i'm done with my drama serial. all 48 episodes. =(it's sad when such things end. i miss it already, but no way am i going to rewatch so soon.)
one more thing. which you probably won't understand but nevermind. i just knew there would be some accident where they'd swap the two brides. i turned out to be right. and their reactions were priceless.
